Board meeting 26th January 2022
This note was approved at a meeting of the board of trustees on 30th March 2022, for publication on Healthy Minds’ website. The Healthy Minds board of trustees met via videoconference on Wednesday evening, 26th January 2022, with six trustees present, and the Chief Officer, Operatations Manager, Business Development Manager, and Finance Assistant (notes), also in attendance. The board agreed a pay rise for all Healthy Minds’ staff. We usually base pay and annual pay increases on NJC negotiations. However, these are still not completed for 2021/22. The board decided, therefore, to make an interim minimum award of 2.75% for 2021/22, for all staff, with effect from 1/4/2021. The Chief Officer presented his written operational update to the board. The main areas of discussion concerned funding for Recovery and Support, Safespace in A&E, other project updates, Rethink proposal, employed staff recruitment. Another main topic for discussion at the meeting was follow up to last December’s AGM and wider annual reporting arrangements. The AGM was better attended than in recent previous years. The board confirmed formal sign off of the 2020/21 annual report and accounts, which have been uploaded to the Charities Commission and Companies House. The board reviewed priority actions proposed by our Independent Examiner. The board confirmed that, in view of increased income for 2021/22, it would expect to have Healthy Minds’ accounts audited. The board considered options for changing the AGM arrangements and decided to make no change. The board may want to consider changes once more work has been done on Healthy Minds’ membership model. The Chair of Trustees presented an update on recruitment to the board of trustees. Paul Hunt Chair of Trustees, 30th March 2022
