Drop-Ins

Discover our Drop-ins

You'll always be met with a warm welcome at our supportive drop-ins. Enjoy a comforting brew in a safe, confidential and inviting space - no judgement, no expectations.

These are informal environments and a gentle opportunity to socialise. If you are in need of a private chat, Healthy Minds volunteers are available during the drop-ins to lend a compassionate ear. They can also help to introduce you to our Safespace service, available 7 days a week 12:30pm - 10pm.

Our drop-ins are also a great opportunity to learn more about Healthy Minds and what we have to offer. Join us, and let our experienced volunteers introduce you to our mission and the many other types of support we provide.

FAQ

do i need to book ahead of time?
There is no need to book for our drop-ins. You are welcome to just turn up on the day!

However, if you're feeling a little nervous or anxious, please feel free to ring us ahead of time. We'll make sure to meet you at the door and help you feel at ease. Just call us on 01422 345154.
How much does it cost?
Our drop-ins, like our other services and activities, are all completely free!

You are always welcome to provide a donation if you'd like to support our work. You can find more information on our Donate page.
how do you keep drop-ins safe?
All of our groups operate from an agreed set of group guidelines which are designed to keep everyone safe, and remind people of what is acceptable behaviour in groups. Our groups are confidential and we expect everyone who attends groups - workers, volunteers and participants - to respect each other’s confidentiality.
"I am able to express the reality of my emotions, as opposed to what society expects.  I don't feel obliged to say I'm fine.  I don't have to put a face on."
"It's like a light at the end of the tunnel."
"It's a space where you can process your thoughts out loud without judgement and it can lead to better understanding."
