An ideal option for people who want to do something amazing for charity, but didn't get a place in the mass event, aren't able to travel to London, or need a little longer to complete the 26.2 miles.
Everyone will take part on the same day. 40,000 participants of the virtual TCS London Marathon and 50,000 participants at the London Marathon in London.
What it's all about...
Healthy Minds has been awarded twelve places in this year's virtual TCS London Marathon.
All registered finishers will receive their coveted medal and New Balance finisher t-shirt on successful completion.
Participants can run, walk, or job. Just cover the distance of 26.2 miles, that's all that counts.
The route can be anywhere within Calderdale. Do it YOUR WAY. From a fun fancy dress skip round a building idea to a gruelling fell run.
Participants will have 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds to complete the distance. This must be on Sunday 2nd October (00:00:00 to 23:59:59).
Participants will receive an official running number before the event.
An official virtual TCS London Marathon app will allow participants to track their 26.2 miles.
The app will enable the runner/walker to pause/resume the tracking so that they can take a break, stop and start as much as they like. The app will record their moving time.
Opportunity for other walkers/runners to get involved. For example:
Participants complete each mile with a group of different friends/walkers. A group walk with the participant for the full 26.2 miles.
These twelve virtual London Marathon places are valuable to Healthy Minds. Each, a perfect fundraising opportunity. There is no minimum fundraising commitment, but we would ask that you raise as much as you possibly can. Support, advice, and publicity of involvement will be provided.
Entrants must be 18 years or over on Sunday 2nd October.
