What is a 'Dare To Be You' Day?

Dare to be You day is the fun school day when children and young people are encouraged to celebrate what makes them unique. It’s about letting children express themselves and empowering them to tell their own stories.

This could be sharing their favourite hobby, such as football or dancing, or wearing their favourite outfit or colour. This is the day when the whole school community can come together and learn about each other.

Ready to get involved?

1.  Download our resources below to make it a smashing success - including a bunting pack and chatterbox activity, built to compliment a Dare to Be You Day.

2.  Set your date and decide how you'll raise funds. You can run a simple collection on the day, or add extra fundraising potential with your own challenges. You can link these to an easy-to-use online JustGiving page (find instructions here), or use a paper sponsorship form for in-person collections.

3. Spread the word, and make sure no one misses out on the fun! Start talking about your 'Dare to be You' day. In assembly, in the classroom, on the school newsletter... and don’t forget to send an email to parents!

4.  Once you've got the details in place, let us know you're taking part and we'll send you even more goodies for added fun... Just email [email protected] or use the form below.

5.  Complete your Dare To Be You Day, and shout about your success across social media! Make sure you tag us in and use the hashtag #DareToBeYou in your posts.
