Like Minds

Like Minds: Empowering mental wellness together.

Our Like Minds project is rooted in collaboration and compassion. Co-designed alongside our dedicated volunteers with their own lived experiences of emotional distress, we aim to provide free opportunities for people to access peer support in ways that work for them.

Peer Support, Personalised: Our cornerstone lies in offering peer support that respects each person's unique mental health journey. Led by a team of proficient volunteers, our weekly Mental Health drop-ins aim to create an environment where participants are empowered to find their own path towards healing and growth.

Guided Groups & Activities: Due to ongoing funding challenges, Healthy Minds has had to revise how it delivers a programme of well-structured peer support groups and thoughtfully curated activities.
We are working hard behind the scenes to secure funding for a new vision for Like Minds. Meanwhile our staff, participants and volunteers, have been planning the future of our previous groups and activities.
We understand that a group ending may be a loss of valuable support. If you would like to talk to us about this, or learn about what other support is available, we welcome you to attend our social drop ins in Halifax and Todmorden to have a brew and a chat. Additionally, our Safespace service is available daily from 12.30 pm to 22.30pm if you need someone to talk to.

Compassionate One-to-One Befriending: For those requiring more structured support, our volunteer befriending team is here to extend a listening ear. We recognise that isolation often accompanies mental health challenges, and our befriending service is aimed at alleviating both emotional struggles and loneliness.
