Unwind Your Mind this Mental Health Awareness Week!

Mental Health Awareness Week will take place this year from 15 to 21 May, 2023. Will you join us to #UnwindYourMind?

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems people face. In the UK, a little over 1 in 10 of us will be living with an anxiety disorder at any one time – that equates to just over 8 million people. Anxiety can become intense and frequent for people living with an anxiety disorder, causing a significant impact on their quality of life. 

That's why we're focusing on Anxiety as the theme for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week. If you're feeling anxious, we want you to know that you aren't alone. We want to share ways to make anxiety easier to manage and help prevent it from becoming a problem. And if you or someone you care for does need support? We want to make sure you know where to get it.

We are planning lots of opportunities for you to #UnwindYourMind this Mental Health Awareness Week! Come relax in our pop-up garden installation at the Piece Hall, and join our free activities and events to help you tackle anxiety. 
Try out our 10 Top Tips to Unwind Your Mind and take control of tough feelings. You can also check out our nifty resources folder to help you promote awareness - whether that's in a classroom, at your workplace, or on social media.
