Trustees are often people who have had personal experience of mental distress - most of our current management group members have lived experience . This understanding has been core to the development of Healthy Minds, and helps shape the services we provide.
Trustees will need to have a genuine interest in mental health issues and we particularly welcome people who have other skills in finance, policies, business planning and marketing. Trustees oversee the development of Healthy Minds and are responsible for the overall management of the organisation.
One of our trustees said: “When you’re using mental health services and things are not going well, it’s good to know there’s an independent voice in Calderdale to help you get what you need. I am proud to be part of this young and energetic group.” - Freda
