We are delighted to announce we are launching a new art making project for people with lived experience of mental health issues and/or disability. The project will run from February to May 2026, working in partnership with Everybody Arts in Halifax. Our Experience: Lived and Living invites members of the community to create art reflecting the theme of ‘lived experience’ of mental health issues and/or disability. Project participants will get chance to explore what the theme of ‘lived experience’ means to them, expanding their creative freedom and developing their artistic practice. Participants will be supported to nurture artistic skills through artist development sessions and weekly studio access at Everybody Arts in Halifax, where they will be able to use art studio facilities including print making and ceramics. The project will finish with the opportunity to showcase artwork at the Everybody Arts gallery, as part of a wider creative health initiative for Calderdale. The final showcase will amplify the voices of people with lived experience of distress in order to challenge negative cultural attitudes to mental health. Interested in taking part? Please read the full project description here before applying via this online form. Or get in touch with us to find out more: [email protected] Your browser does not support viewing this document. Every couple of years we ask everyone involved with Healthy Minds to please give us around 10 minutes of their time to complete this survey. We call it a "census" as we invite everybody to complete it to give us comprehensive information about who is involved and what people think about what we're doing.
The information collected helps us to obtain ongoing funding and improve services. Your answers are anonymous: no details that can identify you will be included in any reporting. Full details about the purpose of this survey and how we protect your privacy are at the top of the form, which you can access on the link below. The Big Healthy Minds Census 2026 Thank you for your time and support! You can see what we learned from the 2023 census here |
