Chronic Pain Support Group - emotional support for people experiencing long-term pain
The emotional impact of chronic pain can be a struggle , often combining tension, stress, anxiety, loss of self-confidence and self-esteem with difficult emotions such as anger or guilt. It can be hard to talk about these feelings with family, friends or health workers and often people can feel isolated and trapped.
The Chronic Pain Support Group is a safe and confidential place for people to come together and share their experience of living with long-term pain. Sessions are facilitated by a Healthy Minds worker and involve discussion, activities, sharing coping strategies or having a friendly chat and a cuppa.
The group is free, although voluntary donations of £1 - £3 towards refreshments and room hire are welcome.
We are now running a free 7-week "Beyond the Pain" course starting on Monday 7th March. Full details here or call Kath on 01422 345154
